Let's Change the GameWant to get a team together - have story idea
Here's the thing about that. I won't say having a compelling story is no big deal. But I think having a story may not be the right place to start. I think -- and this is just my opinion here -- it would be better to start with thinking about what the players will do. what massive earth changing thing will players do asked to do that no game has ever asked players to do before? And maybe this is what you mean when you say "you have a story idea."
I'm just sayin'.
Hey! I'd be willing to join you in a team, a story/interactive situation is whats going to make the difference not a new interface or special way of donating. The game needs a way to first draw in players and then be diverse enough to keep them enraptured despite their age/occupation/familiarity with Virtual Entertainment... so who's gona lead this thing? we need a leader, ill take orders and draw things...get ideas going, brainstorm..etc
I'd love to see what you guys have in mind. I think the best thing for us to do as budding ARG designers is to work together, not against eachother. I mean our team can be as big as we want, right? Minimum of three is the only requirement. I can write and I can act. Hello all, I just sent an email to both Mar_Vell and DSXNano, since you guys posted it, Mine is dimcreature@gmail.com. Scott and CrustyBottom, email me if youre interested as well so we all get on the same page. We should All work together I think, and maybe get the other guys from the other forum posts in on this too...or join them if they already started. No point in going against one another on this. Anyway, here's what i emailed Mar_vell and DSX:
Hey Guys, this is "Dimkick" from the forum www.letschangethegame.org, so far only the two of you posted your emails so i decided to email you with mine as well. I dont check that forum too often so it'll be better to talk via emails/gmail chat if we want to get ideas flowing better.
Anyway, im interested in this game idea and from what i gather you are too, lets see what we can do. If we can get "Scott" and "CrustyBottom" in on this, it'll be great, the more the better.

Some of you may know me, others may not. Those who do... well.... anyway. I am looking to get a team together for this project. I have a story idea that obviously needs some input, revision, etc. I am very excited about this opportunity and so I am looking for others who are as well. If you are interested, please contact me.
