Its a donation engine where the recipients post pitches for what they plan to do with the money generated. In this case, its New York City public school teachers.

Then above that is a layer of competition among donor groups, this blog being one of them.

Not exactly what your looking for here, but an interesting example of using games and personal engagement to make charity more effective.
